Paris, Here We Come!

Back in mid 2009, while living in Oceanside, CA – we found out my husband, a U.S. Marine,  was going to be attending to the École-Militaire in Paris. Oh la la!!  We were not only going to be living in Europe! We were going to live in PARIS, FRANCE for 18 months! We’d see the Eiffel Tower! Stroll the Champs-Élysées! Walk in the footsteps of kings, queens and emperors! It was the chance of a lifetime! The entire family was packing up and moving overseas. Immediately, we started dreaming of all the travel we could do while living abroad. The countries we could visit. Cities we would explore. The endless towns & villages would discover! And mais oui!! The delicious food we would indulge in. While living there, aside from immersing ourselves in the Parisian culture, we traveled out of Paris every chance we got. Some of our adventures were planned and others spontaneous. Our time there came and went fast and we left Europe longing for more. But we would never forget our time there. Especially our most memorable First Trip Out of Paris.

We’re Back!

Now, 14 years later, thanks to my husband’s job, we are back to living in Europe.  This time we are living in Brussels, Belgium for at least 3 years. I feel like we hit the lottery for working and living in cool places. Belgium is a beautiful country with so much to explore. Nature! Castles! History! Our then four-year-old son, is now eighteen and has a 12-year-old brother. As much as we love and miss our home in Florida, we are determined to take full advantage of being back in Europe. There are a lot of places we haven’t been. Many places I’d like to go back to. Trails to hike. Beaches to soak up the sun. Mountains to climb…. You get the picture (I’ll be posting many, so no pun intended.) And again, yes! So many different foods to taste. So we started with a bang! and took  an epic Summer Road Trip already!
